Tomorrow Ms. Wakefield is gone.
Thursday I am gone.
Friday we will finally have a full set of teachers.  Friday your Troll poem is due--published format.  We will work on it for 30 minutes tomorrow and Thursday and Friday so you are fine.

One Week Until Parents Come In

Posted by Jamie Kovacs on Friday, November 11, 2016,
I can hardly wait to sit down and talk with ALL your parents about ALL your progress and skills and...what do you think I will be telling them?  We are going to have a conference just you and me next week where you will write goals and tell me how it is going from YOUR perspective.  I will also tell you how I think it's going for you from MY perspective.  Then all that's left is for me to sit down with your parents and hear all about you from THEIR perspective.  Do you think your parents will...

Friday Eve

Posted by Jamie Kovacs on Thursday, November 10, 2016,
We have had 3 days in a row of perfect attendance.  Wow, that is a lot for us!  Sadly we have had a lot of sick kids this fall.  Sad, really sad.

The weather is the real news.  It is AMAZING!!  Get outside and play.  Blog a quick comment telling what you plan to do outside today and you can have 4 tickets tomorrow.  Check the other tabs for a ticket question worth 20 tickets.  Have I totally lost my mind?  It will require a long blog comment though so...I might not have to pay anyone for that....

Busy Day

Posted by Jamie Kovacs on Tuesday, November 8, 2016,
Not only was it election day, it was my mother's birthday.  She turned 80 today.  I hosted a party for her at the place she lives.  I am writing this before the party so...I don't know if it was a success yet or not.  Let's hope so.

Why do you think CNN student news told us today that tomorrow the news will be all about the election?  It will be over!  Why is there room for more news about it?  Answer this and you will have 4 tickets in your bank account tomorrow.

Mrs. Kovacs...

Today we looked carefully at the two major candidates.  We read about them and researched them a bit and...tomorrow we vote.  Lincoln is having a school wide vote which we will compare to our classroom vote, both of which we will compare to the actual vote.  I don't know about you but I for one will be glad when it is OVER!!

Our Socratic Seminar about the electoral college was AMAZING!!  You guys did an amazing job respectfully discussing the topic.  I learned so much about the process--did yo...

Remind your parents to follow Mr. Schmidt's email directions and sign up for your conferences.  I can't wait to tell them how wonderful you all are!!  For real, that is what I will tell them.
