Today's ticket question is to simply blog a fun riddle or joke and you can have 4 tickets.
5th graders need to finish their math packs from the break.
Everyone needs to work on their maps and get them done by Monday--Friday is the last day you will have class time for this project. We will be running stream tables one day this week so no maps that day. Budget your time! Clock management.
Blog a comment about some types of landforms you learned about in your reading today and you can have 4 ti...

Oz and the Tin Man
Posted by Jamie Kovacs on Sunday, November 22, 2015,
So Evan, look up the song "Tin Man" by the group America. Same era and sound as American Pie but the chorus should speak to you. Maybe this can be our new theme song. It says, "Oz never did give nothin to the Tin Man, that he didn't, didn't already have." That's what I was singing to you on Friday as you left. What does that mean? 6 tickets to every one who blogs a comment explaining what the write meant or was referring to when writing that song and including that reference to the Tin ...

What? No Math Homework?
Posted by Jamie Kovacs on Friday, November 13, 2015,
Have I lost my mind? What is going on? No, we just wrapped up geometry and are working to finish our final geometric projects and we haven't started a new unit yet so no need to burden you with homework. Plus, you got an analogy page for reading so...enough is enough. I am sure my class will rock analogies since we spent the first two weeks of school working on them in our GARDEN packet and our back to school book. Have I given those back yet? Oh my, more tickets for HANNAH as she reall...

Movie Night was so much Fun!
Posted by Jamie Kovacs on Tuesday, November 10, 2015,
You should start planning and thinking about when and where our next Explorations outing with Mrs. Kovacs should be. I would be willing to pick a night in early December and have a stay after school party. We could order pizza and watch a movie on the smart board. See what you think.
Parent/Teacher conferences start this week. Several of you have conferences tonight, some on Thursday, and a few more on Monday of next week. Remind your parents!
We are having a guest speaker come in on Wedne...

Posted by Jamie Kovacs on Tuesday, November 3, 2015,
I think we finally figured out book check out for our class. It has been rough but it looks like Tuesdays at 3:00 is our time.
We got some new books today and we came back and read if we wanted or worked on our "Where in the World" project.
It sure feels like summer outside. Our room is not bad. Yikes, Mrs. Stonehouses is pretty warm. YUCK!!
Blog a comment about your explorations in science/environments to let me know what you are currently working on and you can have 6 tickets tomorrow. ...
